Barcelona is a world-class city with countless fine restaurants scattered throughout its many districts and neighborhoods. Visitors and locals alike can enjoy lots of different cuisines at prices that range from moderate to expensive.

For a fine dining experience you can visit the Volver Restaurant. Located away from the usual tourist areas in Sant Gervasi, a quiet residential neighborhood that is popular with shoppers, this stylish and handsome restaurant features a pleasant, inviting and relaxing atmosphere along with an interesting and varied menu.

The Volver Resaurant is comfortably modest in size (about 325 square meters in total) and occupies two floors. The upstairs section features main spacious, tiered dining room and a bar surrounded by several high stools. There are a few tables located in the bar area, as well.  Patrons can order snacks or light meals and enjoy them while sitting at the bar itself or at one of the tables.

The upstairs dining room also features two sinfully comfortable sofas with plush, inviting pillows that are available to patrons while they wait to be seated.
The downstairs private dining room features a smaller space for a large group of people to enjoy meal altogether.

The Volver Restaurant is decorated in soft and soothing white and brown colors that offset and complement its rich, dark wooden furniture. Decorative components and sconces add another impressive touch to the elegant setting.

However, it is the cuisine that makes a visit to the Volver Restaurant memorable. Known primarily for its always-fresh produce, meat and seafood, the menu offers diners a variety of Mediterranean dishes all of which are always meticulously prepared.

There are many choices, including delicious meat dishes, perfectly-prepared seafood, cooked-to-order pasta specialties, fresh salads and, of course, mouth-watering desserts.

Meat lovers, in particular, will find many enticing selections that include simple, yet perfectly-grilled steaks and chops, Fricando (a delicious traditional Catalan dish made of stewed meat, mushrooms and almonds), Osso Buco (roasted veal leg) and Pies de Cerdo (tasty trotters). The restaurant also prepares aves (fowl dishes).

Fresh fish and seafood dishes are also available daily at the Volver Restaurant. The kitchen prepares – and serves – many delicious and traditional Catalan specialties, including Soquet de Peix (stewed fish), Caldereta de Bogabante (an irresistible Catalan-style lobster stew) and a variety of grilled fish and seafood, all beautifully prepared by the skilled kitchen staff.

The Volver Restaurant adds a satisfying finishing touch to meals by offering diners an excellent dessert menu that includes Flan casero (a scrumptious baked custard made from eggs, milk or cream, gelatin and vanilla extrac) and Crema Catalana (a traditional Catalan cream dessert).

The restaurant’s wine cellar is well-stocked and wines, in every price range, are available to diners who seek to add the perfect complement to their meal.

Prices tend to be moderate and reasonable at the Volver Restaurant. There is a Prix Fixe Lunch menu available each week, Monday through Friday. The cost is only 14.50 Euros and includes a first and second course, choice of dessert, a cocktail, bread and rolls and coffee. Diners can choose any one of seven meal choices for each course. The price also includes VAT.

Dinner is more expensive. Entries are available off of an a la carte menu and include a first and second course … for a price as low as 24 Euros per person.

Visitors to the restaurant will be able to look directly into the immaculate kitchen and, when not too crowded, may be able to enjoy sitting at a cozy and comfortable banquette. The restaurant includes an outdoor terrace which is open to diners in nice weather.

Rails and ramps make the Volver Restaurant easily accessible to handicapped people.
